Hinjewadi is originally a small village but now it is treated as IT village of Pune which is located on the north-south outskirts on the NH4 bypass around the city of Pune and is within the favorable distance from the heart of the city . Hinjewadi is also known as Rajiv  Gandhi Infotech Park.Hinjewadi IT park is expected to have an area about 2800 acres. The whole project at Hinjewadi is to be completed in four phases,the first two phases are already completed and third phase is under construction and the final phase is planned.
