Begumpet, a developed commercial district in Hyderabad

Begumpet is also known as the Begum’s village in Hyderabad, India. It is the district which was a gift to the daughter of sixth Nizam, Basheer –Ul-Unnisaa Begum in her marriage as dowry. It is one of the major commercial and residential important suburbs in Hyderabad, India. It is a neighborhood in Hyderabad.

This region of Hyderabad is very important as commercial and residential suburb. Earlier, Begumpet was very small part of the city, but later with the expansion of economic activity and also the airport lies here increases the demand and the importance of this region. Begumpet is having number of corporate and government offices. This area of Hyderabad is having number of software as well as other companies such as Fast Forward technologies, Yash Technologies, Quad Asia, Proactive techno labs, Dabur India Pvt . ·         Begumpet Mosque – This mosque is one of the famous mosques in Hyderabad, which is also known as Spanish Mosque or Jama Masjid Iqbal ud Dowla. Hyderabad city has number of muslim followers and they go for worshipping and prayer. The mosques Moorish architecture attracts many tourists. Begumpet mosque is one of the tourist’s attractions.

·         Paigah Palace – Paigah palace is built by Paigah nobleman, Sir Vicar-Ul-Umra.  This palace is very beautiful example of exceptional architecture. The palace was built after the Paigah gited the falaknuma palace to the sixth Nizam. This is a beautiful two story palace in European style. The Paigahs were the foremost builders of palaces.

·         Begumpet Airport – Begumpet airport was used for domestic as well as International flights from Hyderabad but after the completion of Rajiv Gandhi Airport, Begumpet airport  is now used for military training and for VIP’s only. Because of this airport Begumpet has got this much importance.

·         Begumpet Railway Station – It is a railway station in Hyderabad which is accessible for the localities of Ameerpet, Greenlands and Somajiguda. Begumpet railway station is one of the important railway stations in Hyderabad.  The Multi Modal Transport System is accessible from Begumpet station and it is an ongoing project of Hyderabad Railway Station.

As this region is important because of airport and railway station, transportation to Begumpet is not a big problem. We can easily reach to Begumpet by train and taxis and auto are also available from station. But if you are coming by flight then you have to take taxi from Rajiv Gandhi Airport to reach to this region because Begumpet airport is used for military training only. Buses runs by APSRTC are well connected to all parts of the city and buses to and from Begumpet are continuously available from the bus stand.
