Karol Bagh, Delhi

Karol Bagh is the important region of Delhi and it is known for its shopping streets such as Gaffar Market, Ajmal Khan Road. This region is residential come commercial area of Delhi. This region is one of the three administrative subdivisions of Central Delhi with the other two being Darya Ganj and Paharganj. It iwas also home to Karol Bagh Lok Sabha Constituency.

In early past, Madhaoganj, Jaisingh Pura and Raj ka bajar were the areas which were evacuated for the construction of Connaught place and the people of these areas relocated in Karol Bagh. This region consists of large number of Muslim peoples. Karol Bagh is also home to number of Bengali community people and this region is one of the famous centres of Durga Puja. Tank Raod which is one of the famous wholesale garment markets in Karol Bagh. This area is famous as the market place for affluent peoples of Delhi, because there are much more good shops and the handmade sarees and other apparels are available in the markets of Karol Bagh.

·         Gaffar Market – Gaffar market is the very popular market in Karol Bagh which is considered as one of the favorite markets in Delhi for opulent peoples as this market includes very old traditional art sculptures and ancient designers apparels and many more things which are most beautiful things to buy. This market is named after freedom fighter khan Abdul Gaffar khan.

Indira Gandhi International Airport in about 20 to 22 kilometers from the Karol Bagh area and Buses available from Karol Bagh Station are available to and from this region. Taxis and auto rikshaws are also well connected to this region.
