This station is important because it is near to number of important places in Pune and it is also halt for the trains of Mumbai Pune route. Shivaji Nagar Railway Station is always crowded because number of students uses this station for their daily travel.
· Pataleshwar Caves – This place is situated on Jangli Maharaj road in Shivaji Nagar and the most surprising thing about this place is that it is the quiet and tranquil palce as it is situated in the midst of the city chaos. This is a rock – cut cave temple having the main shrine inside the temple.
· Jangali Maharaj Mandir – This temple is located next to Pataleshwar caves in Shivaji Nagar. This temple is dedicated to Jangali Maharaj and Samadhi of this Maharaj is kept here who is a disciple of Swami Samarth.

Shivaji nagar is very important and popular area in Pune city and located in the centre of the city. The region is easy to reach from every part of the city. Shivaji Nagar Bus stand is the main bus stand in Pune which is connected to almost all parts of the city and outside city. Taxis and auto rikshaws are also available to travel within the city. If you are coming by train then Shivaji nagar railway station is used for local transport in the city through which you can reach here in this region. You can also come by Main Railway Station and after reaching to Pune take taxi or auto rikshaw. Pune airport is the airport by which you can come into the city and then for travelling within the city there are number of choices you have.
