Inside the Tigers Fortress



Tiger is the spirit of Indian jungles and a safari to explore the life of this spirit is very exciting and a special treat to wildlife explorer.  A tiger, the largest members of the cat family, renowned for his power and strength charges the whole jungle. Bandhavgarh National Park

Bandhavgarh National Park is one of the popular parks in India located in Umaria district of Madhya Pradesh.  The term Bandhavgarh is a Sanskrit term which means “Brothers Fort” and this park was a gift from one of the revered Lord in Hindu religion Ram to his brother Laxmana to use this park as a strategic vantage point. The park has a large biodiversity. Tiger’s density in Bandhavgarh is one of the highest known in India and the park also has large breed of leopards and several species of deer. The forest of bandhavgarh is the white tiger’s jungles of the yesteryears. The forest of Bandhavgarh covers an area about 449 sq. km which is home to number of avian species of birds and also some endangered species of animals. Bandhav garh is among the top five National parks in India.

Best time to visit Bandhavgarh National Park

·         October to may
·         The park remain closed on every Wednesday
·         On Holi Festival and from 1st July to 15 October, the park remains closed.

·         Morning – 6.15 to 10.20 am
·         Afternoon – 15.15 to 18.20

How to reach?

Bandhavgarh can be reached by all the transport mediums; Umaria is the nearest city to Bandhavgarh about 37 km from here and the closest city from where you can take bus, train and charter plains also. Bandhavgarh can be reached via road which is well connected to the other parts of the country and by railroad also this park is well connected as number of trains available. Jabalpur is also one of the options to reach here which is 190 km away. From this city every transportation facility is available.

Where to stay?

Tiger safari is a trip that cannot be done in a single day and therefore there are numbers of resorts located that provides the facility for staying. In Bandhavgarh, there are number of resorts available that provides every facility to their customers. Most of the travelers prefer to book resorts online because many people does not know about the parks and resorts here and the travel agents handle all the responsibility so that we can enjoy our trip.
