Sikkim, Best place to experience nature’s beauty



Sikkim is a prominent hilly region in the eastern Himalayas and is a land locked Indian state. This state is very beautiful having extravagant surroundings. This state borders Nepal to the west, Bhutan to the southeast and China’s Tibet autonomous Region to the east and north. The Indian state West Bengal is located to the south of Sikkim.
Sikkim is blessed with the spectacular lush green vegetation, majestic mountains and rich flora and fauna and once you visit this city you can witness culture, festivals and many attractions of this incredible place. This is the only state in India with ethnic Nepali majority and this state is least populous and second-smallest state in India after Goa. It is said that the Buddhist saint Guru Rinpoche visited this state and introduces Buddhism and foretold the era of the monarchy. This state is a popular tourist’s destination owing to its culture, nature and biodiversity. There are many best places to visit in Sikkim that are tourist’s favorite places.

Tourists Favorite Places in Sikkim

·         Aritar Lake – This Lake is located about 3 hours journey from Gangtok city and is worth visiting. If you are interested in staying time in a peaceful environment. There are many places to stay such as trekkers hut, many lodge and private resorts are available.
·         Baba Harbhajan Singh Memorial Temple – This temple is located on the road between Nathula and Jelepla. This temple is very famous and visited by hundreds of people every day. The temple is believed to be wish fulfilling temple and it is said that people left behind a bottle here and collect it as a holy water after the wish is completed.
·         Bakthang Waterfalls – This waterfall is situated 20 minutes distance from the capital city of Sikkim that is from Gangtok. This waterfall originates from Ratey Chu and this is the main water source of Gangtok area. This is the best place to relax with view.
·         Teesta and Rangit River – These Rivers are very famous for river rafting the adventure sport most enjoyed in Sikkim. These rivers are best and safe for river for the sports and for adventures. Teesta River offers one of the best rafting stretches in the world.

How to Reach?

This city lacks significant railway station but the closest railway stations are siliguri and New Jalpaiguri, there are many trains available to reach to this state. Two National Highways link Siliguri t oGangtok and buses are available to travel to and from this state. You can also hire taxis and jeeps from this city and to reach to this city.

Sikkim is the place which is visited by many tourists and there are so many place s to explore and enjoy the city’s beauty. Therefore the city is having number of hotels and lodges available that provides good budget as well as luxury hotels.
