Nagpur, vice capital of Maharashtra



Nagpur, winter capital of Indian state of Maharashtra, a fastest growing metropolis and third largest city in Maharashtra state after Pune and Mumbai. The city is very popular in the whole country as this city is the geographical centre of India.
Nagpur is ranked as the cleanest and second greenest city of India and is being the seat the annual winter session of Maharashtra state assembly Vidhan Sabha. The city is also known as Orange city for being a major trade centre of oranges that are cultivated in this region. Nagpur is also declared as the Tiger capital of India as it connects many tiger reserves in the country. The city is famous as one of the favorite tourist’s destination and number of tourists visit Nagpur city as there are many tourists attractions available.

·        Ramtek Fort Temple – This is one of the famous temple which is assumed to be one of the sacred place where Lord Rama took rest before leaving to conquer Lanka. ·        Diksha Bhumi – Diksha Bhumi which is also known as Dhamma Chakra Stupa is an important religious Buddhist monument located at Nagpur. ·         Tekadi Ganpati – Tekadi Ganpati is a popular sacred temple in Nagpur city. This temple is dedicated to Lord Ganesha and a person says that this Lord is Swayambhu. The temple is visited by thousands of devotees every month.
·         Fultala Lake – Futala is a place where you can find the most of the youngsters of Nagpur city. This lake is very beautiful and the most preferable hang out point in Nagpur. There are number of street food shops and many restaurants are located and this is the best place for relaxing.

·         Bohra Masjid – Bohra Masjid is a beautifully constructed mosque located in the Shantinagar, Itwari, and Nagpur. This mosque attracts many Islam believers and witness huge crowds during the Friday prays and festivals.

For travelling within the city taxis and auto rikshaws are also available.
·         By Rail – Nagpur railway station is one of the major stations in Maharashtra state. Total 160 trains’ stops at this station and connected to all metro cities of India. There are number of trains available to reach this city from the rest part of the country.
·         By Air – Nagpur airport is one of the busiest airports in the state with more than 300 hundred flights flying over the city. Many airlines operate from this airport such as Indian airlines, Spice Jet, Air India and many more.
